How did they lose the 'Best Airline in Africa' title to Philippine Airlines?
The Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (or, mini-budget) was met with a somewhat muted response. The question on everyone’s lips is, ‘Do we really need an airline?’ This in reference to the R10.5 billion bail-out of SAA. The money has been drawn from budget cuts to 41 departments, including police, justice, education and transport.
